I joined a group of managers of volunteer programs. I remember walking into the first meeting. The close to 100 women thought I was there to speak, not join them. After all, managers of volunteers are women aren't they? :) Anyway, if I find a Work at Home group I'll let you know. I guess a woman goes into the stay at home mom group thinking they would not be able to open up as much if a man were there. But I think it would also be interesting to have a mixed group. I wonder how many in Polk County? I took a chance though I figured the odds were high. I've battled the stay-at-home "stigma" on-and-off for 20 years. It's too bad though.
